Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Vela is an AI agent observability platform ("we," "us," or "our"). You can reach us at Velahelp@outlook.com. Our platform is available at vela.wtf.

2. What we collect

  • ·Account information: name, email address, and profile details you provide when signing up
  • ·Usage data: AI agent sessions, traces, costs, latency, and model information sent to Vela via our SDK or API
  • ·Prompt data: if you enable capture_prompt=True in our SDK, we store the input and output of your LLM calls. This is disabled by default.
  • ·Payment information: processed by Stripe. We never store your card details.
  • ·Communications: emails you send to us

3. How we use your data

  • ·Provide and improve the Vela platform
  • ·Send you alerts, digests, and product updates (you can unsubscribe anytime)
  • ·Generate AI-powered summaries of your sessions using our internal AI service
  • ·Analyze usage patterns to improve our product

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with:

  • ·Supabase (database and authentication)
  • ·Vercel (hosting)
  • ·Resend (email delivery)
  • ·Stripe (payment processing)
  • ·Our internal AI service (for generating session summaries — only anonymized session metadata is used, never your prompt content unless you explicitly enable prompt capture)

5. Anonymized usage data

If you have data sharing enabled in your team settings (on by default), we may use anonymized, aggregated usage patterns to improve Vela's AI features and benchmark reports. This data never contains personally identifiable information, prompt content, or your specific session data. You can disable this in Team → Settings → Data & Privacy.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Session and trace data is deleted immediately upon account deletion.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including:

  • ·Encryption in transit (TLS)
  • ·Encrypted storage via Supabase
  • ·Row-level security on all database tables
  • ·API key authentication for all data access

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ·Access your data (export available in account settings)
  • ·Correct inaccurate data (edit in your profile)
  • ·Delete your data (account deletion in profile settings)
  • ·Opt out of data sharing (Team → Settings → Data & Privacy)
  • ·Unsubscribe from emails (link in every email)

9. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Children

Vela is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. We'll notify you by email for material changes.
